Alkali Scientific SilverSeal™ Aluminum Sealing Film
A 36 µm soft non-permeable aluminum foil sealing film with 28 µm layer of strong medical-grade acrylic adhesive, SilverSeal™ sealing films eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling. Each sealing film measures 82.6 x 146.1 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.4 mm. Compared to other aluminum foils, SilverSeal™ has less tendency to roll back or itself when removing the backing paper and conforms well to the plate during application. easily pierceable with single or multichannel pipettors and robotic probes heat and cold resistant, recommended for temperatures from -80 °C to +120 °C certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free excellent barrier properties, virtually no sample evaporation or drying. The dispenser facilitates the quick and easy dispensing of film from a roll allowing microplates to be sealed three times faster than using sheeted films. Environmentally friendly; no paper liner to remove and discard; utilizes approximately 59% less material than AeraSeal sheeted film. Each sheet is separated by an adhesive-free, perforated, color-coded red band. The smooth lower surface of the dispenser can be used to seal the film to the plate. Dispenser protects unused seals from contamination. Lower support prop prevents dispensing bill from contacting surfaces to prevent contamination. Replacement rolls can be easily installed by releasing the locking clasps on the dispenser.

Multi-Seal™ Multilayer Polyethylene Sealing Film consisting of a top pierceable clear polyethylene film and a white polypropylene sublayer with 96 circular areas void of adhesive. The white sublayer aids in the alignment of the film to the plate; alignment of opposing corner wells ensures that all 96 wells will be properly aligned. The adhesive-free zones are 9mm on center to facilitate multi-channel pipetting without adhesive fouling of pipet tips or robotic probes. Offers excellent chemical resistance and is pierccable. Samples have minimal contact with adhesive due to the adhesive-free zones.

SilverSeal CS™ 50 µm Acrylic Adhesive Sealing Film are not recommended for PCR or thermocycling. A single non-perforated end tab simplifies application. Simply hold the tab and strip the backing from the body of the sealing film as it lays on the plate to avoid curling. Dimensions are 82.6 by 132.6 mm, including the single 9.5 mm end tab. SilverSeal CS™ sealing films are certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Specially formulated for cold storage to -80°C.
